Our Mission & Vision of The PlayPlace, Early Learning Center
What started out as a passion project, turned into something so much bigger. Our mission was to provide a high quality, non-profit, play-based program. From grass roots efforts, our program was built with input from families, staff and the community. We wanted to provide a program that supported the social-emotional development of children (learners) and the value of play, sprinkled in with a little mud 🙂 And…… The PlayPlace, Early Learning Center was born!
- We believe that every learners deserves the right to uninterrupted, authentic play.
- We believe that learners thrive in an environment where their social emotional well being, passions and interests are valued.
- We believe that every family deserves high quality care.
A rich and engaging early learning experience, for your child.
We believe that every child has the power to create their own knowledge. We’re always reflecting and adapting to ensure that we provide a rich and engaging early learning experience. Together, let’s lay the foundation for a lifetime filled with wonder, resilience, and joy. We’re so excited to embark on this incredible journey with you and your child! Welcome to our PlayPlace family!

What is Play-based Philosophy?
The PlayPlace Early Learning Center supports a philosophy richly founded off of the philosophy that children learn play. Our curriculum is uniquely designed around each learners interests and development. Learners engage in experiences that are meaningful, engaging and support a lifelong love of learning. In addition, with pay comes “messy” hands-on experiences. Our learners are encouraged to fully engage in the curriculum, including mud-play, water-play, paint and other sensory experiences.
